Yellowtail Snapper are targeted year round in the Florida Keys. They're know for being delicious to eat and fun to catch.

Here's the set up we used in our Yellowtail Snapper episode when we fished for them in Key West. 

Setup:

  • Rod- 7'2'' Shimano Terez 
  • Reel- Shimano Saragosa SW 6000
  • Monofilament- 15lb Seaguar Senchi Monofilament
  • Fluorocarbon- 15lb test 
  • Hook- No. 4 (can go heavier if fishing dirtier water)
