These are fritters that can be made with any type of seafood. From conch, to shrimp or calamari, theres no way you can go wrong with this recipe.
Fritter Ingredients:
1 quart of frying oil
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
finely ground cayenne pepper to taste
seasoned salt to taste
salt and pepper to taste
1 cup seafood of choice (chopped)
1/2 white onion (chopped)
1/2 green bell pepper (chopped)
2 stalks of celery (chopped)
2 cloves of garlic (chopped)
Directions:
Heat the oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 365 degrees.
In a bowl, mix the flour, egg, and milk. Season with cayenne pepper, seasoned salt, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix in the seafood meat, onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic.
Drop the batter into the hot oil in rounded tablespoons fry until golden brown. Drain by placing the fried fritters on paper towels.
Serve with cocktail sauce or dipping sauce of choice and enjoy!
